Lockers

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) provides lockers for rent on a daily or annual basis. The number of lockers per location is limited and conditions of use and agreements on terms, prices and security deposits vary depending on the location.

Annual locker rental

Many buildings give students the option to rent a locker for a full year. The conditions and agreements associated with renting an annual locker differ per location. See below to find out how to rent an annual locker at your location.

Renting an annual locker at this location costs either €15 for the full academic year or €9.95 for half the academic year.

To rent a locker (JMH, KSH, MLH, WBH) use the ‘Amstel Campus Locker Request form . Please note: you can fill in the form from the second week of September. Once you have received the confirmation email, you may select and pay for your locker at the Service Point.

Most lockers can be opened with your student ID card. To link your card to your locker and to use your locker, the card must have been validated at least one day in advance. Please contact the Service Point for this.

These Rental conditions (PDF, 1p.) apply to renting and using a locker.

The lockers are located

  • At JMH in the bicycle parking, floor -1.
  • At KSH on the ground floor, room 0.139 and 0.208.
  • At MLH on the first floor in the open space behind the stairs.
  • At WBH on the third to ninth floor, A- & C-side of the building.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Lockers can only be rented for the full academic year.
  • Renting a locker costs €17 per academic year.
  • Lockers can be rented for personal use only. The locker is in your name; you cannot pass it on or share it with others.
  • No refunds are given if you terminate your annual locker rental before the year is up.
  • You can open your locker with your student ID card. To link your card to your locker and to use your locker, the card must have been validated at least one day in advance. Please contact the Service Point for this.
  • Placing stickers on lockers is prohibited.
  • Use the locker for its intended purpose and do not leave wet/sweaty clothes, food or drinks in it (for too long).
  • If you lose or forget your student ID card, you can ask reception desk staff to open your locker for you. This can be done daily at 12.00 p.m. and at 5.00 p.m. Reception desk staff will not open lockers at any other times.
  • Personal property held in a locked locker is not insured against fire, damage or theft.
  • If you intentionally cause damage to your locker, the costs are at your expense.
  • When the rental term is over, the locker must be returned clean and empty. Any items remaining in the locker after the rental term expires will be removed and disposed of.

The lockers are located

  • On the ground floor in room A001-A336, B001-B102, C001-C232 and D001-D346.
  • On the first floor in room E001-E048 and F001-F042.

Annual locker rental at this location is €15 per academic year. You can contact the Service Point to request and pay for a locker or if you would like more information.

Day lockers

When renting a locker for the day at the Amstel Campus (Wibaut Building, Muller-Lulofs Building and Kohnstamm Building), the lockers must be emptied before closing time. After closing time, all lockers will be released so they are once again available to others the following day. Lockers can only be opened with a validated student ID card.

General terms and conditions

In addition to location-specific terms and conditions, the following terms and conditions apply to all locations.

  • At the end of each academic year, all lockers must be emptied and locks and keys handed in. This will give everyone an equal chance of renting a locker at the start of each academic year. Lockers that still contain items will be emptied.
  • The locking systems of the lockers vary by location, making use of student ID cards, keys, numeric codes or AUAS locks. Please note that private locks will be removed.
  • The AUAS is not liable for the loss or theft of items stored in the lockers.
  • No refunds are given if you terminate the rental agreement before the year is up.
