International mobility

Study year 2022-2023

The AUAS is changing the rules for international mobility: we’re going back to the situation prior to the Covid 19 pandemic. This goes into effect at the start of the 2022-2023 academic year.

International mobility conditions for students

The conditions are the same for all types of international mobility, such as travelling abroad for an exchange, internship/work placement, a study-related trip, or a field trip. Check the website myauas.nl/goingabroad for a clear overview of the conditions.

What you need to know:

  • You must sign an agreement and have a Plan B ready in case your original plan cannot go ahead. You can find this document at myauas.nl/goingabroad.
  • You can only travel if the country colour-code on the day of departure is green or yellow, as classified by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Check the colour-code on the Netherlands Travel abroad website. (This website is only available in Dutch. Please try to translate the page via your browser or ask the International Office for help!). You can’t travel to orange or red zones.
  • You must return to the Netherlands if the colour-code changes to orange or red during your stay abroad.
