Promotional activities

Promotional materials can be hung up in public areas of the AUAS and promotional events are allowed.

Coronavirus measures with regard to promotional activities

In general, promotional activities take place in central halls, cafeterias and spaces with a lot of general traffic. To prevent teaching and research activities from any negative effects caused by people arriving, leaving and moving about, these kinds of promotional activities are prohibited. Promotional activities on the digital screens are an exception to this rule.

For more information about the digital info screens for AUAS-staff, please refer to Information screens.

This measure will be in force until at least 1 October 2020. Further policy with regard to coronavirus measures after 1 October 2020 will be determined in mid-September.

The AUAS will not cooperate with any commercial, religious and/or political activities and the policy on obtaining consent for activities and promotional publications is restrictive.

What should you do if you want to organise an activity or if you want to use notice boards or snap frames?

The activity is directly related to the degree programme or faculty and takes place under the responsibility of the degree programme or faculty. For example, the target group is ‘all students of a degree programme’.

If that is the case, you need written permission from the lecturer, programme manager or supervisor. If they agree, the activity can take place in consultation with Facility Services (FS). FS reserves the right to cancel the activity or to propose a different date in case of safety or capacity issues.

After obtaining the dean’s written permission, submit your application using the web form. You can find a link to the form on the right-hand side of this page.

  • Send the following attachment: written permission from the lecturer, programme manager or supervisor.
  • Send the following attachment: electronic files of poster(s) and/or flyer(s)

The activity is not or only indirectly related to the degree programme or faculty. For example, the activity is focused on all students in a particular location, rather than just those of a specific degree programme.

If that is the case, you can submit your request directly to Facility Services Event Coordination, using the application form. FS reserves the right to cancel the activity or propose another date if there are safety or capacity problems.

You can submit your application using the web form. It will automatically also be submitted to Facility Services. You can find a link to the form on the right-hand side of this page.

  • attach: electronic files of poster(s) and/or flyer(s)

3. External parties

The AUAS does not cooperate in commercial, religious and/or political activities and has a restrictive policy on permission for such activities and publicity.

Parties from outside the AUAS (and those with no AUAS ID) can email their application to evenementen-fs@hva.nl.

The email should provide at least the following information:

  • start date/time of the activity
  • end date/time of the activity
  • which AUAS campus(es)?
  • activity target audience
  • any additional facilities required
  • attach: electronic files of any poster(s) and/or flyer(s)
