Privacy
In the Netherlands, privacy is regarded as a fundamental right. The right to privacy is stipulated in Article 10 of the Dutch Constitution and entails that everyone has the right to respect for his or her privacy. In other words: the right to be left alone.
This right has been further elaborated in various laws and regulations in the Netherlands. The most important of these is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR has replaced the Dutch Personal Data Protection Act (Wet Bescherming Persoonsgegevens) and entered into effect throughout the entire European Union on 25 May 2018.
PRIVACY AT THE AMSTERDAM UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES
At the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, everyone who collects personal data, such as for the purposes of research, an IT project or developing an app, has to abide by eight privacy guidelines to ensure their work or studies are conducted safely. This video will offer a general explanation of those guidelines. If you do not have a solid plan, there is a good chance that things will go wrong.
