Reception

The reception desk helps ensure a safe and well-organised study and work environment.

What can I expect?

The reception desk is responsible for:

  • Making opening and closing rounds before and after the reception desk's opening hours.
  • Answering the telephone at the reception desk.
  • Providing information to and receiving/directing visitors.
  • Alerting the CER team and emergency services in the event of emergencies.
  • Granting admittance to employees and visitors who are authorised or registered to use a parking space.
  • Lending and registering keys and access passes.
  • Stopping and arranging the ejection of undesired persons.
  • Registering and reporting incidents, notifications and special circumstances relating to safety and security.
  • Registering and managing lost property.
