With Stream (on SharePoint) you can record, upload, share and manage videos, just as any other file. You can save your Stream videos in OneDrive, MS Teams and SharePoint. On microsoft365.com you can go to the Stream portal at which you can find a nice overview of all your videos.

Stream Classic becomes Stream (on SharePoint): delete video files from Stream Classic

All video files in Stream Classic will be moved to Stream (on SharePoint) from 20 October 2023. Do you still have videos in Stream Classic that you no longer use? Then remove them from Stream Classic before 19 October. This way, we prevent video files from being saved unnecessarily. The less data we keep unnecessarily, the more we reduce our carbon footprint. How to remove video files from Stream Classic is explained below.

To remove videos from Stream (Classic), follow the steps below:

  • Go to microsoft365.com and log in with your AUAS-ID;
  • Then click on the 9 dots at the top left;
  • Click on Stream;
  • Now you have opened Stream, it will open automatically in the new version Stream (on Sharepoint);
  • To go to Stream Classic, click in the top right corner on 'Welcome to Stream (on Sharepoint). To visit Stream (Classic), click here';
  • Stream Classic has opened;
  • Then go to My content;
  • Click on Videos;
  • Click on the three dots to the right of the video;
  • Click on Delete;
  • Choose to delete the video.

Videos deleted in Stream (Classic) are automatically placed in the video's recycle bin for 30 days. This gives you time to recover the video if you accidentally delete it. If you don't restore the video within 30 days, it will be automatically removed from the recycle bin and permanently deleted. You can also choose to permanently delete videos placed in the recycle bin before the 30 day limit. To permanently delete the video before the limit, follow these steps:

  • Go to My content;
  • Click on Videos;
  • Click on the three dots to the right of the video;
  • Click on the Recycle Bin;
  • Click on the Recycle Bin icon;
  • Choose Delete to permanently delete the video.

Sway allows you to create great reports, presentations, newsletters or records. It is a good alternative to PowerPoint. You can start with one of the standard templates or create a new design yourself.
